Medrano Irazu Winery is family-owned, founded by Luis Medrano in 1984. One year later its first wine, a young wine, hit the markets.
In 2001 his son, Amador, took over from his father, bringing new ideas with him, and he began to produce aged and white wines, along with author wines, by which we refer to wines that have been created according to the Amador’s own guidelines and criteria and achieving the highest of qualities.
In January, 2009, the first late-harvested wine from La Rioja came onto the market (ARDENS VENDIMIA TARDÍA).
In 2012 Amador Medrano began two new projects: Castillo de Oses in Rioja and Ureta cellar, for wines without a designation of origin.
Once again a simple idea becomes a wine, and "Seducción” is born, a white wine designed for those who wish to become acquainted with the world of wine.
